Two paths climb this scenic, wooded ridge above Ashland. The Mike Uhtoff Trail is for hikers only, while the White Rabbit Trail is also open to mountain bikers and equestrians. The two routes cross twice, so  those on foot can choose to do a loop.  For a longer trip, continue onward toward Lithia Park on the Alice in Wonderland Trail (see Hike #54).

After two local philanthropists, Vincent Oredson and John Todd, donated ten acres near here in 1983, Ashland businessman Mike Uhtoff led a fundraising campaign with the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy that bought the adjoining 270 acres for Siskiyou Mountain Park in 1992.
