Damnation Creek

Massive redwoods line the trail down to the rocky beach at the mouth of Damnation Creek. The beach is in a wonderfully remote cove.  Cliffs rise from the sea on either hand.  Cormorants pose on white-stained rocks offshore.  Green sea anemones line seaweedy tidepools.  The only damnable part of the hike is that you have to gain a thousand feet of elevation to get back to your car.  Dogs are banned.
