Half a dozen woodsy lakes and a viewpoint of Mt. Jefferson make this loop on the Pacific Crest Trail fun even for children—if you wait until after the July mosquito season ends. Hikers with extra energy can add a short but very steep side trip up Double Peaks for an even better panorama of the lake-dotted Olallie Lake Scenic Area.
