Fret Creek & Oval Lake

Moderate (to Oval Lake and Palisade Point)

A pleasant forest trail from a paved road climbs along this creek to Oval Lake. And although the little lake doesn’t have much have a view, an extra half mile takes you to Palisade Point, a crag atop a 300-foot cliff overhanging the Badger Creek Valley, where you can see Mt. Adams, the plains of Eastern Oregon, and the top third of Mt. Hood.
