This ridgecrest trail high above the Clackamas River climbs to a panormic summit and a quiet mountain lake. Storms marooned the path in 1996 by washing out access roads in the Fish Creek Valley. The Forest Service decided to decommission the roads permanently, turning the entire valley into a haven for its namesake wildlife: fish. Now volunteers have helped open an alternate trailhead, so you can once again hike to Fish Creek Mountain.
