The estuary where the Siltcoos River loops from the forest to a quiet beach is one of the richest birdwatching sites in Oregon. Even if you have never before seen a kingfisher, an osprey, or an egret, the chances are good you’ll spot one here. Along the way, the river trail passes some of the most beautiful scenery in the Oregon Dunes. A special $5 parking fee is charged at the trailhead.
