Drift Creek North

So few ancient forests have survived in the Coast Range that Drift Creek’s wilderness canyon really stands out.  Two maintained trails descend through the old growth to this wild coastal stream, overhung with mossy maples.  The northern Horse Creek Trail described here passes the biggest trees. Both paths head downhill, so save some energy for the climb back to your car.
