While crowds throng to the big redwoods in the Stout Grove, few hikers discover the even larger trees in this rainforest just a few miles away. A well-graded trail leads 2.4 miles to the 20-foot-thick Boy Scout Tree. An extra half mile walk takes you to lacy little Fern Falls. Dogs are not allowed.
