Herman Creek’s huge canyon and nearby Nick Eaton Ridge offer hiking options for nearly everyone. For a relatively easy hike, cross a bridge to a rarely visited little waterfall.
For a more difficult loop, climb to the viewpoint atop Indian Point’s rock pinnacle, returning through the steep wildflower meadows of Nick Eaton Ridge. Mountain goats from Eastern Oregon were reintroduced into this area in 2005. From Portland, take Interstate . . .
