Angora Peak

The trail up Angora Peak

  • 1750 feet elevation gain


Oswald West State Park preserves a narrow 12-mile strip of ancient forest along the ocean, but it’s interesting to see the view from Angora Peak, just inland. The hike here follows private logging roads through clearcuts, and then scrambles to a cliff overlooking the shore from the Astoria to Cape Lookout.
