200 feet elevation gain

As you hike around the many-bayed shore of Monon Lake you’ll gain a view of nearby Mt. Jefferson, pass bedrock worn smooth by Ice Age glaciers, and visit an area changed by a 2001 fire. For a longer hike with even better views, start at the old-timey resort on Olallie Lake. Mosquitoes can be a problem in July.
