This popular path is only 20 miles from Estacada, yet has the feel of the High Cascades. Hike 1.4 miles through a grand old-growth forest to a mountain lake in the woodsy cirque of a long-vanished glacier. If you like, continue up to the former lookout site atop South Fork Mountain for a view from the Three Sisters to Mt. Rainier. Maximum group size in the Clackamas Wilderness is 12.
