Lookout Mountain

From the wildflower-spangled sagebrush meadows of Lookout Mountain’s plateau, views stretch beyond the forested Ochoco Mountains to a string of Cascade snowpeaks. A loop trail not only visits the summit’s old lookout site, but also a rustic shelter and an interesting abandoned mine.
