Like the more famous Metolius River (Hike #29), this Central Oregon stream emerges from an enormous spring and meanders in glassy curves through pungent pine woods. But unlike the Metolius, Fall River is not crowded with campers and river rafters, and its gentle riverside trail is open to all.
