Wildcat Mountain tops one of the westernmost ridges of the Cascades, with views extending from the Willamette Valley to Mt. Hood. Hardly an hour from Portland via paved backroads, this uncrowded trail features rhododendron blooms and beargrass plumes in early summer. The drive to the trailhead can be confusing, however, because road signs in this area are often vandalized.
